Bike rides ouside Brussels

Brussels is not the capital city best-suited to travelling on two wheels. So why not leave the metropolis and take a trip into the heart of the country?

To make sure you don't get lost and find the roads best adapted to bikes, preparation is everything. Firstly, avoid leaving Brussels on your bike. The roads on the outskirts of the city are dangerous and not very pleasant for bikers. A better option is to get to the starting point of your ride by rain: for 7.20 euros you can take your bike anywhere in Belgium for a day.

Flanders

Due to its layout, Flanders is the best place to try, and Bruges is undoubtedly the best starting point for a ride as you can rent bikes there.

Wallonia

In Wallonia, we recommend following the Ravel network. This offers five complete circuits, ranging from 45 to 330 kilometres. The web site features maps and helps you create the best itinerary, according to your own criteria (type of scenery, safety, monuments to visit along the way, and so on).
