Electronic payments

Belgium is one of the countries in the world where electronic payments are most widespread. Ask for your Bancontact/MisterCash card to make purchases anywhere in Belgium and take money out of the 6.000 or so cash dispensers in the country.

Since 1st July, banks are gradually opening their ""selfbanks"" to clients from other banks. With your ""Bancontact/MisterCash"" card you can now take cash out of all selfbanks, even if you are not a customer of the bank in question. In other words, you can get cash from a branch of Fortis even if you aren't a customer."
