Recycling? It’s designer!
Recycling Design is a small, traditional company which creates furniture and objects from cardboard. It was founded in 2008 in a workshop and has grown swiftly thanks to a couple of dynamic young artists.
Specialities: Brussels, Bio - ecological, Bookcase, Furniture, Decorative item
Open: On appointment
We make all of our furniture using traditional methods. A great deal of care goes into them and each item is given special attention.
Concept and advantages
Large amounts of cardboard is used for packaging and this leads to large amounts of waste for shopkeepers. We collect this waste and recycle it into a new product: cardboard furniture!
The practical advantages of this kind of furniture include:
Lightness: it is easy to move: you don't need your friends or movers to help.
Resistance: cardboard is a very resistant material because of its fluting. For example, a seat can support 100-130kg!
Functional: our cardboard furniture are "great home made designs" but also and more importantly storage cupboards, for CDs, DVDs, books, clothes, trinkets... they can even hold your TV, computer or aquarium.
Unique: With its unique model and coating, you can be sure your piece of furniture is one of a kind!
Made to measure
Is there wasted space between your wardrobe and the next wall? Space problems due to difficult angles in your house? Can't find a CD or DVD chest that fits?
In these cases, cardboard furniture is the ideal solution because it can be created according to your specifications.
