Museum & Exhibitions

Contains some twenty thousand paintings, sculptures and drawings. We should remind readers that the museum has two parts. Le Musée d'Art ancien (ancient art) brings together splendid collections of works from the Primitive Flemish painters in the 15th century to the 18th century, via Bruegel, Rubens, Jordaens, and many other masters from the Belgian, Italian, French and Spanish schools. <br><br>Le Musée d'Art moderne (modern art) offers eight levels and an exceptional overview of 19th century (Ensor, Khnopff,...) and 20th century art. This section will be close from february to Novembre 2011 for renovation.
