The Alliance Française is a worldwide network of more than 1,071 centres in all continents. The centre created in Bussels in 1945 has become a place of excellence in teaching French as a foreign language, offering the whole year round a wide choice of courses.
Specialities: Language Courses
In 2008 our instructors specialising in French for European affairs trained some 1,000 diplomats and welcomed 5,000 students from all over the world with financial support of the International Organisation for the French-Speaking World (OIF).
Our general French courses are adapted to your schedule and level, from total immersion to fun or thematical workshops such as oenology.
Based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), we offer a wide range of courses including customised, individual or group instruction.
We can help you prepare the European Union's competitions and acquire the French language skills necessary for working within your professional context.
The only one in Brussels
The Alliance Française is the only centre in Brussels to organise examination sessions for the DELF (diplôme d'études en langue française), the DALF (diplôme d'approfondissement en langue française) and the TCF (test de Connaissance du Français) - the European proof of your level. These are official diplomas recognised by the French National Educational Authority.
As the founding member of the EUNIC consortium "European Union National Institutes for Culture" in 1999, we are engaged in common cultural projects. This position enables us to efficiently participate in calls for tenders and proposals, to exchange good practices and to design multi-disciplinary projects at European level.
