The artistic programme is covering four centuries of opera, ranging from Monteverdi to modern works, including Mozart, Verdi, Wagner as well as the classics of the twentieth century. The main concern of La Monnaie is to present the works in a creative and contemporary way, inviting the finest creative artists of our time, singers and conductors, directors and choreographers, visual artists, designers...



National opera since 1963, La Monnaie maintain a strong multicultural identity: performers from all over the world, audiences from France, the Netherlands, Germany as well as other European countries, and staff from more than 30 different nationalities.
