The pictures ares online! The Tour de France comes in Brussels for the 11th time! On Sunday 4th and Monday 5th July the European Capital will have the honor to welcome the "Grande Boucle".
On 4th July, the Tour will dash of Rotterdam to go to Brussels by Meise, city of Eddy Merckx's residence who celebrates this year his 65th anniversary.

Runners will give their first pedal knock at the Heysel . The course will follow the avenue de Bouchout to continue on avenue de Meysse and avenue du Parc Royal by passing in front of Laeken's cemetery and the Royal Domain. Boulevard Emile Bockstael and avenue Houba de Strooper (Stop Stuyvenberg) will form the final finishing line. The arrival site will thus be situated in front of the Stade Roi Baudouin , near the Atomium , most visited monument in Belgium and close to metro station Baudouin.

The second Belgian stage will dash on Monday 5th July in the " district of museums ". The podium signature will be located in front of the Palais Royal. A stroll can be organised among buses for fanatics in order to feel the sportive atmosphere that reigns there. The group will leave at 12:30 pm in the direction of Spa. Cyclists will cross in procession rue Ducale, place du Trône, avenue de la Régence (Park or Art Loi stop), rue Belliard, avenue des Nerviens (Schuman stop), avenue des Gaulois, porte de Tervuren (Mérode stop) and will leave our capital by avenue de Tervuren.

Extra activities

A caravan which attracts spectators... This year, the attraction will celebrate its 80 years! More than 45 minutes of continuous show, 16 million presents distributed, 160 vehicles livened up to dazzle you! And all this before applauding the runners...

And until Sunday 25th July, the 97th Tour de France will execute 20 stages on 3 600 kilometers through Holland, Belgium and naturally France.
