Visit

Opposite the Palais de la Nation, at the other end of the Royal Park, the Royal Palace is one of the most splendid official buildings in Brussels.
This is where the King carries out his duties as Head of State, granting audiences and treating affairs of State. The Palace also contains ceremonial reception rooms used to host major receptions, as well as the private rooms allocated to visiting Heads of State on official business.

Highpoints

The highpoints of the visit: the impressive Throne Room, majestic main staircase and three contemporary works of art brought into the palace in October 2002 at the Queen's initiative. These include works by the photographer Dirk Braeckman, painter Marthe Wéry and visual artist Jan Fabre. The Royal Palace's Empire Room was the setting in 2004 for the unveiling of a fourth work of art : "Royal Palace Flowers" by Patrick Corillon
