In 2012 it will be exactly thirty years since Marc Minkowski founded his ensemble, Les Musiciens du Louvre-Grenoble, with which he has established himself as one of the leading specialists in the Baroque and Classical periods.
A flamboyant conductor, Minkowski can always be relied on to come up with passionate, dynamic performances with a sense of drama - which may owe something to his experience in opera.
