The opening of the tramway-restaurant is set: 2nd of March 2012! VISITBRUSSELS and its collaborators, STIB and Electrolux will take you on the Experience tramway until the end of 2012 to make you taste Belgian gastronomy and to make you see beautiful parts of Brussels while you will be experimenting something new and original.
As its name suggests, 'Tram Experience'; aims to offer a gastronomic and touristic experience that is unmatched anywhere in the world. In a tramway of the 60's, which has been totally refurbished, guests will be able to enjoy several classic dishes of Belgian gastronomy, all modified for the occasion by tor 6 op chefs such as Lionel rigolet or Sang-Hoon Degeimbre.The price is 75¤, including the 3 courses menu, two glasses of champain, two glasses of white wine, two of red wine and water. There are 34 place settings on board: 7 tables set for 2 and 5 table set for 4. The decor reminds Electrolux's Scandinavian origins with the white furniture, contemporary and refine design, wood floor and blue neon lights. This is a non-smoking tramway which doesn't stop during the trip but there are toilets on board!
This is a two hours trip: Place Poelaert is the starting point. Then, the tramway will take you to Louise Avenue, Hippodrome Avenue, Chasse Avenue, Montgomery round-about, Souverain Bd all the way to Boistfort, then Etoile round-about and will finally go back to its starting point, to make you see the most beautiful roads of the region.
The first official trip is planned on the 2nd of March 2012 and if you want to join the event, you have to make reservation first.
