Courbet. Realism of the 'living art' to the 'free art'

This dossier exhibition is structured around the six paintings of Courbet in our own museum collection. These exquisite landscapes and portraits will be confronted with a selection of paintings of other Belgian Realistic artists and will be supplemented by some targeted loans. The exhibition will contain about twenty paintings, drawings and other graphic documents.
