A five-star international Gypsy jazz line up. As close to Gypsy jazz royalty as you’re likely to get! Guitar mastery, swinging Reinhardt classics mixed with traditional European Gypsy repertoire. Undeniably the most loved and respected Gypsy musician on the planet, violin superstar Tcha Limberger, recently accorded the title by The Times “Polymath King of Gypsy music” joins forces with the guitar wizard, one of the most outstanding and original players to have appeared in the gypsy jazz scene, Sébastien Giniaux.
Jazz will discover later on free interpretation and technical virtuosity, but at the start, the New Orleans style is accessible and all about dancing. Sometimes frenetic, sometimes romantic, it is this diversity and this energy that excites L'Amicale. Jelly Roll Morton, Sidney Bechet, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong are all famous names that inspire the friends of this mythical city. The instruments used by L'Amicale are almost the same as those found in the Dixieland brass bands and the first Jazz orchestras, because L'Amicale wants to stay close to the roots of this particular New Orleans musical genre.

The Centro Galego de Bruxelas is based here and organises various activities, including jazz and folk concerts, theme nights, and dance classes (including “Salsa Tentation”, free, every Sunday from 6 p.m.). Sysmo is emerging from a completely new approach to live composing with sign language, inspired by La Bomba de Tiempo, an argentinian group led by Santiago Vazquez.
