Sunday 11th September, fifty or so exhibitors, professionals and educated amateurs, from Belgium, France, Holland, Germany and Italy, will unveil furniture and objects of the fifties, sixties, seventies and early eighties in an easy-going bric-a-brac trade atmosphere. A date is given to the public, to the merchants and collectors in the historic but exceptional scene of the Old Navy station of Tour & Taxis, 86c avenue du Port à 1000 Bruxelles (main entrance of Tour & Taxis).
Brussels Design Market
Founded in 2002, the Brussels Design Market is a flea market exclusively devoted to design, essentially productions from the fifties to the eighties. Thanks to its expansion, the largest flea market design in the post-war settled comfortably inside the old ferry terminal, free of any rain ...Of course, for the rare pieces, you will have to get up early, the merchants being the first on the prowl. But the exhibitors also bring very nice mainstream furniture and therefore more affordable : Eames ou Panton chairs, Knoll tables, Bertoia armchairs, etc. Scandinavian, Belgian, French, Italian, American furniture is mixed in with ceramics and glasses, collector pieces, plastic, metal, wood accessories just waiting to be discovered.
