100% POP is een eerbetoon aan Grace Jones, de beroemde Jamaicaanse zangeres, actrice en model. Als zwarte superster heeft ze de popcultuur ingrijpend beïnvloed en een nieuw, ongrijpbaar beeld van het zwarte lichaam geïntroduceerd. In een monoloog vol aanstekelijke energie die stem, dans en muziek combineert, vertelt Nora Chipaumire over haar ontdekking van Grace Jones, haar jeugd in Zimbabwe, het verlangen naar onafhankelijkheid en de opkomst van muziek op televisie. 100% POP is het tweede deel van een drieluik over de emancipatie van het zwarte lichaam waarin Chipaumire stereotiepen omarmt en uitdaagt. Zimbabwe’s Chimurenga-muziek, dub, Black Noise en natuurlijk nummers van Grace Jones worden live gemixt tot een explosieve cocktail.

Built in the mid-nineteenth century, the old Gräffe sugar refinery, with its brick walls and frame and cast iron, an important witness of the industrial architecture of the neighborhood instead of the Duchess of Brabant. In 1979, all the buildings were converted into a place for cultural, seat of famous Plan K, which presented many theater and dance performances, concerts, films and exhibitions. Renovated, The Refinery currently houses the Brussels branch of Charleroi Danses, Choreographic Centre of the Federation Wallonia-Brussels.
