At this concert, the songs of great French performers such as Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf, Dalida, Charles Aznavour and many others will travel with us. Like the story of the French song in a concert starting in Amsterdam and going all over Europe, also to the homeland of the artists, Greece. We will also present songs of Greek composers with French performers that became a landmark in cinema and on the world stage, and songs of composers that were translated into French, like Astor Piazzola and Mikis Theodorakis.
Teti Kassioni is a young singer and songwriter who is mainly active in the field of ethnic and artistic Greek music.Her participation in music groups such as Antidotum Tarantulae, Graviton and Mare Liberum in recent years has contributed to her international repertoire. She has studied vocal with Areti Topouzidis and has studied classical guitar with Vassilis Gratsounas and Panagiotis Margaris.
She has collaborated with important Greek composers and songwriters such as Marios Strofalis and Panagiotis Margaris. She is a graduate of the French Language and Literature of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and has also studied in the Department of Translation at the University of Bologna. Her first personal album was released in 2017 under the title '' Flight '' in editing and orchestration by Thymios Papadopoulos and published by the company "Little Heros".
Giorgos Athanassiou was born in Paramythia, Thesprotia. He has received a Bachelor of Harmony and a Classical Guitar Diploma with Professor Kostas Grigoreas, a soloist and composer. He is a graduate of Folk and Traditional Music, with a skill in the oud. He has attended classical guitar, folk, rebetiko and electric guitar seminars. He has also attended seminars and workshops on the expansion of musicality, jazz improvisation, musical expression and creation, and has participated in musical workshops focusing on the use of "loupe" and electronic effects on acoustic instruments. He teaches classical guitar and oud.
