Fête du Sport - Olympic Sunday

Since the first edition in 2009, more than 30,000 people participate in the sports activities of Olympic Sunday each year. We are expecting even more people this year as the event is in collaboration with the Fête du Sport (Sports Festival) in the green space around the Cinquantenaire. The day will follow the theme of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi which will take place February 7-23, 2014 in Russia. There will be more than 50 sporting events (summer and winter) including a synthetic ice skating rink on the esplanade of the park and displays and promotional events organized by athletic associations and clubs in the Brussels Region. Kids as well as adults are sure to have a good time!
The games in Sochi
Come and support the Belgian athletes who will compete in Sochi next year! The best of our skiers, snow boarders, ice skaters and even bobsledders will be present to light the Olympic flame. The athletes will be on the Cinquantenaire esplanade at 11:30 am for autographs.
