Art Workshop in english
07 Feb 2018 - 27 Jun 2018
-
Centre d'art de Rouge-Cloître - 4 Rue de Rouge-Cloître, 4 1160
Within this experimental workshop led by artist Veronica de Giovanelli, children will be stimulated to observe what surrounds them through a series creative activities. They will be encouraged to open up their ability to observe, imagine, create and “inventing by doing”, as we consider the process more important then the final outcome. By giving them simple informations and at the same time looking after them personally, we will activate various experimental activities that will stimulate their perception and fantasy.
Within a playful atmosphere, we will undertake different activities involving mostly everyday objects, natural elements and recycled materials with the aim to stimulate all their 5 senses. In the widest range of possibilities allowed by the environment, we will also explore different techniques such as (but not limited to): painting, collage, frottage, modelling... using DIY tools and giving special attention to the use of materials which can include natural pigments, wood, soil, leaves, edible materials etc.
Children will be encouraged to undertake outdoors/indoors creative activities in connection with the seasonal changing in order to improve their awareness of environment and landscape, while playing, experimenting and especially having fun!
Workshop language is English, but no particular English knowledge is required. The atelier is also open to children not enrolled in the Brussels Outdoor School.
Fees: 17 euro (day pass) - 60 euro (monthly).
