Bach Concert - Chapelle des Minimes
25 Nov 2018 - 25 Nov 2018
Two cantatas from Bach’s maturity show our Cantor at his finest. After the power of prayer and penitence in BWV 116, Bach evokes the terror of the Last Judgment in BWV 70, one of his most spectacularly dramatic works. We can almost smell the fire and sulphur of eternal damnation ... until relief finally comes at the end. Frissons guaranteed!
