The BRBC invites you to get into the seasonal mood with The Basement Apes, performing their interpretations of rock, blues and R&B classics, everyone from Albert King to ZZ Top, plus originals. The Basement Apes feature Geoff 'Animal' Meade on drums, Craig Winneker and Paul Meller on guitar, Pete Reichert on bass and vocals and Ian Elders on vocals.
BRBC Houseband Jive, with Eric Moens and Afrim Jahja on guitars and vocals, Vinh on bass and Bilou on drums will be performing their popular R'n'B repertoire, featuring classics by Fleetwood Mac, the Yardbirds, Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley, Elmore James, John Mayall, Eric Clapton, Ry Cooder, Rory Gallagher, JJ Cale and others.
Doors open 8.00 pm, concerts starts 9.15pmParticipation aux frais - €10
Excellent Italian food available, together with a wide range of beers and wines
BRBC returns on 19 January 2019 with Scotch, no Soda, plus Jive.

You are not in Chicago or New Orleans, you are in Ixelles, Brussels. But if you are under the impression of being somewhere else, that’s understandable: the atmosphere, the fragrance, the warmth and the music have the color of true, authentic jazz. The « Sounds », run since 1986 by Sergio Duvalloni and Rosy Merlini, has had the best Belgian and international jazzmen on stage, and the numerous memorable concerts make it a ‘must’ for all jazz fans and lovers of good music in general. There is not only the music, but also the style, the cocktails (Sergio!), the delicious Italian dishes (Rosy!) and the quality of an authentic Brussels venue.
