De Markten organiseert Over tijd - Du temps, een tentoonstelling naar aanleiding van 40 jaar De Markten. Verwacht je aan een tentoonstelling waarin veertien kunstenaars nieuw of bestaand werk tonen dat refereert aan de notie tijd. Dat kan zeer breed gaan en zo wordt het door de kunstenaars ook opgevat. Sommigen brengen bestaand werk, anderen maken nieuw werk voor deze tentoonstelling. Ze doen dat allen zeer eigenzinnig, even eigenzinnig als De Markten de afgelopen 40 jaar haar tentoonstellingsprogramma invulde.
Deelnemende kunstenaars: Sam Vanoverschelde, Ingrid Ledent, Paul Gees, Nathalie Joiris, Diane Delafontaine, Selçuk Mutlu, Greet Billet, Patrick Guns, Stefaan Vermuyten, Jean-Claude Saudoyez, Yvonne Knevels, Petrus De Man, Mario De Brabandere, Jo De Smedt.

Welcome to De Markten, the Flemish cultural centre in the heart of Brussels. De Markten is right in the very centre of Brussels on the Oude Graanmarkt in the most lively area of the city. Within walking distance of Brussels' best cafés, theatres, shops, restaurants, markets as well as the major stations, the cultural centre is surrounded by the beautiful squares, boulevards and buildings that make Brussels what it is. They also have a great café which looks out onto the leafy Oude Graanmarkt square, the ideal place to begin a tour of the town or to sit back and rest for a while whilst taking in the atmosphere.
