Every evening, some hundred artists and about twenty short shows (from 5 to 25 minutes) will be on offer, showcasing the vitality and diversity of Belgian theatre. Each evening, XS provides a sensational platform for discovering artists from a wide variety of fields with an array of unique takes on our world and its key concerns.

Focusing on short forms, innovation and citizenship, SOURCE not only brings together European theatres and festivals but also universities, schools and the media with the aim of promoting interdisciplinarity and establishing close links between creativity and civil society. Le récent et très épuré bâtiment du Théâtre National dispose de trois salles, certainement parmi les plus belles de Belgique, aux qualités techniques irréprochables. C’est un théâtre qui veut aller à la rencontre des artistes et du public tout comme des autres arts et des cultures d’ici et d’ailleurs. C’est un lieu où les idées se partagent et s’entrechoquent à foison. Orchestrée par Fabrice Murgia, la programmation allie théâtre et danse, pointures internationales et créations belges francophones tout en créant des ponts avec son homologue (et presque voisin) flamand, le KVS.
