RAVE CONCRÈTE X FEEDBACKOPHILIE X DANGEROUS IMPROVISATION AND DISTORTED PULSES. ANOTHER NIGHT OF HAUNTED FOLKLORE.
C_C
Inspired by radical dub, filthy jungle, shattered breakcore, and trans ceremonies in general, C_C has developed a deliberately rough and noisy approach to production as well as live performance. Constantly testing the limits of his equipment (from effects processors to mixers, and cassette players) at the edge of implosion, he invents the soundtrack of a post-nuclear world’s dancefloor; its palpitations, its electric whispers, its sonorous accidents. Dangerous improvisation and distorted pulses.
ARNAUD RIVIÈRE
As a self-taught musician Arnaud Rivière has been making free improvisation with bruitistic tendencies for several decades. Everything revolves around a rudimentary electro-acoustic monster built around an electrophone, prepared mixing console and a few microphones/sensors: primitive electronics, making the gesture essential. Between performance and concert, his scenic concerts are known for their explosive energy, intensity and a physical involvement that is rather rare in electronic music.
JEAN-PHILIPPE GROSS
At the crossroads of electronic and instrumental music, Jean-Philippe Gross develops a physical relationship with sound, playing with breaks and acoustic phenomena. His music can sound just as good as sonorous lacework as jolting, roaring tanks conquering swampy ground. Never limited by any form of systematics, Jean-Philippe Gross goes to extremes to highlight a wide range of possibilities with particular attention to timbre, grain and the sometimes raw qualities of sound.
