While the first part of Hilary Hahn's recital follows a traditional approach, the second is the culmination of a highly original project in which the US violinist asked a number of today's finest composers to write short pieces for her: "encores" to offer the audience at the end of a concert. The result is an anthology of miniatures, a veritable fireworks display of original and varied music.
