During this concert, conductor David Ramael will turn to different groups of instruments and explain the sound characteristics of each one within the context of the orchestra. In exploring the theme of metamorphosis, this concert will enable your students to reflect on musical interpretation on the basis of the emotions the music arouses. Projections on a large screen of the wrapping of the Reichstag in Berlin will illustrate music by David Bowie, Philip Glass, Richard Strauss and Paul Hindemith, performed on stage by the Belgian National Orchestra.
