The man whom Gramophone describes as "the most trailblazing and meteoric performer of all" is one of the best interpreters of Rachmaninoff. Nikolai Lugansky enjoys exalting this music with a technicality always accompanied by sensitivity and depth. Winner of the second prize at the Rachmaninov Competition in 1990, he also produced a recording of the Études-Tableaux op. 33 and op. 39, which is a true benchmark. At Bozar, he will revisit Op. 33, a richly textured technical masterpiece, and combines it with the First Sonata, Op. 28, a programmatic work inspired by Goethe's Faust, as well as the famous and sublime Variations on a Theme by Chopin, Op. 22. Hurry and book your seat for this unmissable recital at the Rachmaninoff Festival!
