Nikolai Lugansky

The man whom Gramophone describes as "the most trailblazing and meteoric performer of all" is one of the best interpreters of Rachmaninoff. Nikolai Lugansky enjoys exalting this music with a technicality always accompanied by sensitivity and depth. Winner of the second prize at the Rachmaninov Competition in 1990, he also produced a recording of the Études-Tableaux op. 33 and op. 39, which is a true benchmark.
