Transparent Water is the latest expression of Omar’s transcendent determination never to play the same thing twice. Together with the Senegalese kora master and singer Seckou Keita, he will play a great deal of improvisatory freedom at BOZAR wherein musical destination is secondary to the extemporaneous joy or shared artistic passage. The native Venezuelan multi-percussionist Gustavo Ovalles brings the polyrhythmic spirit of the African Diaspora to the concert. An aquatic and cristallized encounter between yoruba mysticism, sweet mandingue and zen from the Far East.
