Brussels is not wanting for modern and contemporary art, nor architecture. On the contrary, the capital is home to many institutions dedicated to the most diverse artistic disciplines. The only thing missing was a museum of modern and contemporary art and an architecture museum. Hence the KANAL Centre Pompidou project, located in the 35,000m² of the former Citroën garage, on place de l'Yser.
