For two weeks EGC brings together more than 1,200 Go players from over 40 countries, especially from Europe and East Asia, to play many exciting tournaments in Go, the world's oldest board game.
Professional Go players from Japan, China and Korea come to EGC to teach, play simultaneous games, give commentary and insight into their culture and their lives. EGC is a festival for Go players of all ages and playing strengths, amateurs and professionals, with children tournaments, single, pair, and team tournaments, with lectures, exhibitions, and extensive leisure activities. The European top Go players compete in the European championship at EGC.
We are looking forward to welcoming you, whether you are coming by yourself, with your family or with your friends, whether you want to play, study go, visit Brussels, or just enjoy the friendly atmosphere!
