The biannual international circus festival had to be cancelled last season for obvious reasons. Normally, we could have expected a gem of a circus performance. To compensate, Espace Catastrophe is organising a year of shorter circus operations in various places under the ‘Tour de Piste/SAISON UP!’ flag. Tour de Piste shows the best of what circus has to offer in several ‘numbers’. We certainly haven’t heard the last of the number in the circus world. Lots of artists-makers are looking at these short, sometimes very short, forms and are combining them to make a harmonious whole of techniques, intense physical exertions, and a range of emotions. This Tour de Piste includes six to eight original numbers, a cosmopolitan journey through contemporary circus. Tickets via Espace Catastrophe

BRONKS is Brussels’ Dutch-language theatre for young audiences with own productions and a varied and well-considered choice of guest productions in which both beginners and established artists are asked to deal with relevant and provocative topics in a way that appeals to a young audience. BRONKS productions are appealing and relaxing, but also contrary and demanding. It is theatre that reflects on the world and provides means by which to understand it better. BRONKS has also an extensive educational operation and organises festivals and events to suit a variety of audience groups.
