After an acclaimed performance in different European cities (Zurich, Budapest, Hamburg, Barcelona, Madrid, Cologne, Manchester), the traveling exhibition "Tutankhamun, his tomb and its treasures" will step in BRUSSELS and install for six months at Heysel (Hall 2) April 20 to November 6, 2011.

An iconic figure who feeds the imagination of everyone in decades. A Pharaoh who epitomizes the dream, magic and maintains the mystery. A "star" shining timeless as the many treasures found in his tomb by Howard Carter in 1922 ... Tutankhamun: a context as a time... that of the sublime Egyptian civilization and its many beliefs that remain much admiration and cultivate the passions around the world... Tutankhamun: a captivating universe, soon to reach the Belgian public... invited to dive back soon in the atmosphere of this exciting time and relive one of the most important archaeological finds in history with the arrival of an exhibition in Brussels qualitative and unique.
An original experience and unprecedented
"Tutankhamun, his tomb and its treasures" offers visitors a unique experience: relive the exciting excavations and admire the historic treasures of the young Pharaoh as if they were there guided by the look of the famous archaeologist Howard Carter and determined. It reconstructs over 4,000 m2 the atmosphere and the beauty of the treasures of the era. Three burial chambers of the young Pharaoh were reconstituted identically, in the same dimensions (including the use of sketches and notes of Howard Carter as well as original photographs taken by photographer of the expedition, Harry Burton) to offer the visitor the impression of real space. These three chambers contain more than 1,000 aftershocks of the most striking objects (jewelry, religious objects, amulets, chests, chairs, weapons, gold tank sensational ... great chapels and the famous golden death mask), carefully shaped by best Egyptian craftsmen under the supervision of scientists and renowned Egyptologists. Multimedia presentations using the latest technologies are the visitor discover the cultural and religious time: funeral rites, mythology, dynasties, hieroglyphs ... Ninety-nine years after its discovery, the tomb of Tutankhamun opens again ...
