“Uptown Design 2018 – The Brussels Limited Edition” will take place from September 13 to September 29 2018. For the past five years, Uptown Design has been included in the September calendar as a key event in the discovery of Belgian and international design located in what we call the uptown part of Brussels.

This federating UPTOWN DESIGN TOUR was created by Kunty Moureau to highlight talented designers in prestigious brands’ addresses in the capital. These exclusive installations are just alike the creative minds who create and invest the store location. Each designer has been carefully chosen so that the displayed work is in perfect harmony with the place of display. The general public can discover them in galleries, hotels and prestigious places in the upper part of the city of Brussels: Boulevard de Waterloo, Rue de Namur, Avenue de la Toison d’Or, Rue du Grand Cerf. “For over 15 days, the upper city district of Brussels is more than ever the new place of discovery of design creation” Kunty Moureau, curator Uptown Design. Constantly renewing itself, new addresses join the tour for the greatest pleasure of the public and design lovers. The discovery is always at the “rendez-vous” since the selection is original each year. Supported for two years by Marion Lemesre, Alderwoman of Economic Affairs of the City of Brussels and the architects and decorators couple, Hélène and Olivier Lempereur, passionate about art and design. This fifth edition is enhanced by the mentoring of Dominique Rigo, reference in design in Brussels and Clementine Barzin,

To celebrate the five years of the course, the CAD (College of Advertising and Design) will present an array of student’s projects selected by Mr Dominique Rigo. UPTOWN DESIGN 2018 / A BRUSSELS LIMITED EDITION Every year, constantly, Uptown Design invites designers to present a limited series of new or already known objects, revisited in a prestigious version. The pieces will be available for sale and order directly from the designer during the time of the exhibition’s tour MORE THAN 20 PLACES OF EXHIBITION FOR MORE THAN 20 DESIGNERS The 2018 edition will be an opportunity to highlight the work of new selected designers such as BI-N-ÔME, Isabelle Leclercq, Moroso, Dazibao, Max & Jane, A Line Story, Laura Greindl.
