There are three ways of getting rid of old and bulky objects.
"Either take them to the Brussels waste collection centre on the rue du Ruppel, 1000 Brussels, close to the Van Praet bridge along the canal. You can throw away the equivalent of two cubic metres of consistent material free of charge. Each square metre on top of this will cost 19 euros to dispose of. However, you have to pay for this service for some types of waste ... The second option involves using the container parks provided by the cleanliness service in your commune. Call the relevant services in the commune for details. The last option is as follows: "Bruxelles propreté » collects for free and upon prior booking two cubic metres of bulky objects if you put them out on the pavement. Here again, every extra cubic metre will cost 19 euros. One restriction: you can only use this service twice a year; this is why they ask for your national identity number when you book. "
