Forget just heating up bottles of wine! Homemade mulled wine is as easy as pie to make. You can even transport your delicious creation in a thermos!
-A bottle of red fruity wine (do not use the classified quality wine from your marriage)
-A small glass of Cognac
-7 scant soup spoons of brown sugar
-Spices: 3 whole cloves, 3 sticks of cinnamon (some stores sell ready to use mulled wine spice bags)
-Wash the orange and grate the skin for zest.
-Pour the wine and the cognac into a big pot.
-Heat the mixture without boiling.
-Remove the pot from the heat and flambé the mixture.
-Add the brown sugar, spices and orange zest to the pot.
-Heat the pot on low heat for 15 minutes.
-Enjoy with moderation…
