In 2012, the World Cycling Championships will be held on the roads of South Limburg. From Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 September 2012 this region will be the scene of this great event.
The 2012 World Championships will follow a new structure this year, with Limburg as its starting point. Key changes include an extension of the number of race days spread over two weekends instead of one, the world championship time trial for sponsor teams (both men and women), the organisation of a tour version and various recreational activities.
The World Championships will be opened on Saturday 15 September with a cultural event at the Vrijthof in Maastricht and will be concluded on Sunday 23 September with the Road Men Race.
