Skiing in France :: Extra Large Skiing
Extra Large Skiing - For the skiing devotees, the early-bird sportsmen who are on the pistes all day long, and who for nothing in the world would forego a minute of skiing time.

Lastly, in the category reserved for snow fanatics, BrusselsLife has selected Val Thorens and Les Deux Alpes for you. Val Thorens, Europe's highest resort (2,300m), entirely for skiing (cars prohibited), is particularly famous for the quality of its snow, abundant from November to May. Every kind of winter sports activity is practised there: Alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoes, tobogganing (France's longest piste: 6km), and for allcomers, great skiers and beginners alike! Young, dynamic, sporting and close to its origins, the Deux Alpes resort is particularly "open", in terms both of skiers and non-skiers, couples and singles, young and old. As regards the slopes, the effort made to offer visitors every kind of winter sports is much appreciated, and in particular of the recreational pistes, a "Slide" area, a snowpark, and so on. In short, here, between wide-open pistes and specific race tracks, freeride and freestyle, extreme sports and wiser pastimes, quad and shiatsu, skiing and walking, there is really something that should please… even spending a night in an igloo! << Before :: Winter Charms - Next :: More? >>
