The prize-winners of Parkdesign are revealed

The projects entitled ", " Monolit Banc ", " Limbe ", " Prisme " et " Work in Progress " have seduced the jury and the public. The winners will have the opportunity to create a prototype of their project and see it installed in a green space in the centre of Brussels for a minimum of three years. Three other projects (" Lombricolor ", " Less is more " and " Tâche de beauté ") were also given a special mention by the jury. A reminder that the aim of Parkdesign is to stimulate projects of urban furniture design, an initiative of the Brussels Environmental Ministry. The furniture must be sturdy and well thought out in terms of materials and technique, creativity, functionality and respect for the environment. To accentuate the practical side of the projects, they were required to adapt to one of the following green spaces in the centre of town : the square around the Cathédrale Saints-Michel et Gudule, the square of the Putterie and the Albertine garden.
