Where to find the most relaxing wellness centres in Brussels ?
Belgian waffles, chocolate and coffee all do a good job of relaxing us, but occasionally we need something a little more! Discover some of the best places in Brussels where you can find your perfect wellness zone

When life gets you down and you need a pick-me-up more than ever, it’s hard to find anything better than a great wellness centre. No matter the weather outside, you’ll always find calm and relaxation when you need it! Detoxing in a sauna, soothing sore muscles with a massage, or simply chilling in a spa while sipping on delicious tea… thankfully you can do all of these things and more in modern wellness centres in and around Brussels.

It’s true that well-being options at home are getting better and better all the time, especially when you consider that bathroom experts like GROHE can provide rainfall showerheads and thermostatic mixers that give us a spa-like experience in the home. Still, if you want to treat yourself to more relaxation therapy, then check out some of these fantastic venues.

Serendip

Place Stéphanie 18, 1050 Bruxelles, Belgium

Featuring a beautiful ambience as soon as you enter the door, Serendip is one of the most popular wellness retreats in the city, so get in early because you won’t be the only person looking for a break! With a great location that’s easy to access and a whole host of calming and reinvigorating treatments, Serendip should be your first port of call whenever the need for relaxation strikes. Here you’ll find all sorts of modern and classic remedies for the body, mind, and soul, including many types of massages, aromatherapies, facials, and even yoga sessions. Great for couples seeking a weekend getaway in the city or even for some much-needed alone time!

Thermae Grimbergen

Wolvertemsesteenweg 74, 1850 Grimbergen, Belgium

While the Thermae Grimbergen is a hotel just outside Brussels, it’s only a 45-minute train ride or 20-minute car ride and it’s seriously worth the effort to get there. You’ve got everything you could ever want in a wellness retreat and it’s easy enough to spend a whole day there and get the most out of the relaxation therapies. If you’re sleepy after swimming in the outdoor pools, soaking in the thermal baths, chilling in the many saunas, getting a deep tissue massage or sipping drinks in the garden, then just stay the night at the hotel!

Ô Siam

Rue du Tilleul 207, 1140 Evere, Belgium

Ô Siam has one of the best reputations for massages in Brussels, as nearly everyone (someone always complains online) comes out feeling refreshed and tranquil. What’s more, you’ve got a wide range of impressive saunas here, a beautiful garden to catch some sun, and even a Turkish hammam. The pool/spa areas have the perfect water temperature and are completed with soft, ambient lighting and soothing music. What’s more, try out the Ice Cave, where you can rub your entire body with crushed ice for a unique experience that benefits your muscles and nerves!

All of those places are fully booked? Read some spiritual quotes in the meantime and check out some relaxing stretches to do at home in this video.
