TROUBLE #10 [redux] - day 3

On the third day of the festival, Belgium's leading artists Gwendoline Robin and Céline Gillain will share the line-up with Anglo-Nigerian artist Vivian Chinasa Ezugha, Cypriot artist PASHIAS, as well as many other artists.

Armature variable | Claude Cattelain (Be) - 14h>16h & 17h>19h
During four days, Claude Cattelain tirelessly raises a deliberately unstable structure, which transforms while it collapses and during the artist’s reconstructions. Persistence, absurd gesture, precarious balance ... and infinite renewal.
(At Lycée Guy Cuddel. Bracelets to be collected at Studio Thor.)

Uro | Vivian Chinasa Ezugha (Ng/Uk) - 14h>20h
The Nigerian artist manipulates a mass of clay for four hours (uro in her native tongue), experiencing weight and resistance. She thus revisits an episode of depression, to which she gives an emotional equivalence and a striking plasticity. Cathartic.
(Durative piece (six hours). Possible entry and exit.)

Bains publics | Ophélie Mac (Be) - 14h>18h
The artist likes to mix straight-talk and care of and concern for the other. She revives memories of her mixed heritage and her Catholic upbringing so as to offer individual meetings in the crypt of the Église Saint-Josse, albeit observable from the outside, combining foot care, readings of sacred texts, offerings, and dialogue. Transmission and ritual.
(Crypt of the Saint-Josse church. Bracelets to be collected at Studio Thor. The public can enter and exit as they wish, attend the treatment or receive the treatment.)

Trouble dans l’allée des raisins | Lise Duclaux (Be) - 15h, 17h, 19h
The wild poet and botanist, who is eager to track down spontaneous plants and to create their epic and graphic narrative, ushers small groups into a forgotten cul-de-sac, which interlinks the Studio Thor and the Église Saint-Josse, from a space for contemporary art to a religious space. A dead-end? Nay, for craziness opens many a door ...
(In groups of 10 people maximum, reservations possible. Departure from Studio Thor.)

L’âme est-elle visible ? | Ève Bonnneau (Be)- 15h>17h, 18h>20h & 21h>00h
Ève Bonneau offers, in a confined space, an experience for one person at a time, opening up physical and metaphysical abysses through the reflection of oneself and the image of the other. A special moment.
(For one person at a time. Limited places, possibility to book.)

Souviens-toi | Alexane Sanchez [Fragile] - 16h
Between action and installation, a young body feels the weight and smell of plenitude, in the dense soil of the living. Immobile, though not fully, and not forever. Where does the body begin?
(Departure from Studio Thor. Attention, fragile: work of young artists studying at ENSAV - La Cambre.)

Redux et autres recommencements | Justyna Gajko, Jacques Sojcher, festival artists… (in process) - 17h>18h30
Redux: restore, relive, redo, recommence, resurrect. Philosophers, art historians and festival artists revisit these concepts, theoretically in opposition to the essence of performance ... and on that which they allow in artistic practice.

Un chien, sur un bâton, dans un rêve, sur des fesses | Sarah Korzec [Fragile] - 19h>21h & 22h>00h
Interested in questions of narration and memory, the artist invites two accomplices to form an unlikely trio of silent bards, activating portable objects enabling the storytelling of three dreams. Quirky poetry.
(In the foyer of Studio Thor. Attention, fragile: work of young artists studying at ENSAV - La Cambre.)

Sous les lunes de Jupiter | Gwendoline Robin (Be) - 20h & 22h
The performer who set fire to or flooded Brussels and the world with her performance between tension and meditation, launches a new chapter in her work. She makes use of spheres, circles, marbles, balls ... to create innovative mobile and sonic galaxies. In an unexpected place.
(Departure from Studio Thor.)

Skyporn | PASHIAS (Cy) - 21h
The Cypriot performer, who never ceases to deconstruct the clichés of masculinity, takes an icon of the male figure in Belgium, namely, Magritte's paintings as a starting point. Outwardly, simple and aesthetic, yet complex or even dizzying in their multiple meanings.
(Cigarettes (without nicotine) will be smoked during the performance.)

Live | Céline Gillain (Be) - ♪ - 23h
In the concert version, the Bad Woman performer and videographer will close Saturday and begin the party with “a terrific excursion into the outer edges of electronic pop, propelled by some proven driving forces, ranging from house music, techno, and new wave, but also, and above all, by its own fuel”(Libération).
