Antiques have their day
Whether for nostalgic reasons, taste, or just a touch of old world charm, an antique style (or classic) can help an interior design. Two solutions apply : buy it new or get out the castor oil...

The quickest, fastest and therefore the easiset way : buy your antiques. Bookcases, sofas, light fixtures, desks,.... Nothing really escapes the call of the seller and buyer. And then rest assured that even amongst the tiniest details your house could have that feel of your mother in laws giving it that comfort that certain loft types of ultra modern decoration, seem to have in friends places. Addresses for these types of shops are many in Brussels if Mobistyl doesnt' appeal as much.

New streak

Another solution, not to be ignored consists of adding a touch of newness to your old furniture, long hauled out to the garage or the basement. It all starts by a great spring clean in an arty manner : dust, stains, dirt... all must be gone ! Let it all dry properly in an airy space... Prepare yourself to attack glasses with paper, wax, varnish and paint and strip the furniture. Enjoy repairing the stigmas of time with a helpful hand form you. Let your imagination run free : «clear varnish, appliques, fashionable colors, stickers... why not even change the door knobs ? »
