Brusselicious 2012, the year of gastronomy in Brussels
A whole year and even more to (re)discover the gourmet delights of the capital of Europe. With events, demonstrations by great chefs, essential dining spots, products created for the occasion... Brusselicious 2012 is the year of gastronomy in Brussel.

Brusselicious, a name that is both humorous and appetising that immediately gives a taste of what lies ahead: Brussels'gastronomy is delicious and irresistible and makes you want to take a great big bite out of it. Brusselicious will put the spotlight on all the different aspects of gourmet living in Brussels. It will showcase produce and producers, talents and creativity, places and people.

The highlight will be the traditional recipes, the food stalls, the crunch of chocolate, forgotten and rediscovered vegetables, the countless types of beers and other culinary specialities. But also the great chefs that take on the challenge of re-creating traditional favourites with their own special slant capable of conjuring up unsuspected savours.

On the markets and in the star-studded restaurants, at the streets corners and in the parks, in exceptional venues and in the bistros: food wonderful food is everywhere.

A fascinating exhibition that asks today the questions for tomorrow. In 2050, our planet will have to provide food for 9 billion people. What are the stakes, how does the system function today and how is it to change in order to satisfy this demand by keeping, or rather inventing a fair allocation? Dinner in the sky
After Paris, London, Dubai, Las Vegas, Sydney, ... Dinner in the Sky settles for 4 weeks in Brussels. Imagine a gourmet dinner in the Brussels skyline, overlooking four symbolic places : the Royal Palace, the Atomium, the Arches of the Jubilee and the Bois de la Cambre. Bocuse d'Or Europe
On 20 and 21 March 2012, at Horeca Life, in Brussels, Europe's top cooking competition is back for more. 20 talented chefs from all over Europe will face one another to compete for the Bocuse d'Or Europe title and aim to figure among the top 12 qualifying places for the final of Bocuse d'Or 2013. Boeremet

The best of food that Brussels has to offer is from now on available in Anderlecht at "De Boeremet" (Famers' market). This foodmarket will be organized twice a month on our well-known market hall at the Anderlecht slaughterhouses (Abattoir). Plus d'info sur Boeremet.
