Firstly, preheat your oven to 180°C and make sure you have some paper cases for cooking your cakes.
This classic sponge cake mixture is versatile, as you can add other ingredients to it according to your tastes.
The ingredients are :
- 200g flour
- 120g butter
- 100gr sugar
- 1 sachet yeast
- 1 sachet sweetened vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 3 eggs
- 60ml milk
Mix the ingredients together and fill the paper cases half-full of the mixture. Then cook in the oven for 20 minutes.
You can buy pre-made icing or make it yourself. Mix 220g of icing sugar and 100g butter, add whichever flavourings you prefer (for example vanilla, almond or lemon). Leave in the fridge for one hour before spreading the mixture onto the cupcakes using a piping bag or a spoon.
Now you can let your imagination run free! You could try food colouring, coloured icing balls, edible glitter... Then simply enjoy your creation! Bon appétit! Cécile Valero
